the diplomat (False Witness)

PEACHES

Our Irish / UK indie movie ‘Peaches’ recently underwent a 4K restoration. Looking back on our micro budget 80 minute micro feature, we took a shears to it and cut it back to a zippy 36 minutes, and we feel you won’t be missing out.

Shooting in UK and Ireland in 1999, the £30,000 feature to rough cut starring a who’s who of future stars including Kelly Reilly (Yellowstone), Matthew Rhys (The Americans), Sophie Okonedo (Wheel of Time), Justin Salinger (Everest), Sheridan Smith (Cilla) and Eddie Marsan (Back to Black). With a killer soundtrack from Groove Armada, David Gray and the Stone Roses. This rites of passage drama during the late 1990’s holds up beautifully, a testament to a more care free time for young 20 somethings. ‘Frank (Matthew Rhys) faces another aimless Summer until Cherry (Kelly Reilly) sends him into a spin when she declares a crush on him’.

We are currently developing a remake TV series.

Pride & joy

Written, produced and directed by Ronan Glennane and partner Nell Greenwood in 2006. A throwback to the play of the week, a privately funded ultra low budget drama about the property crisis before the 2008 GST crash.

Great performances from Owen Roe and his real life partner Michele Forbes. The great Aidan Kelly, Sara James sparkles and a young Rory Keenan is great fun as the errant son.

On rough cut Irish broadcaster RTE paid for the post production and the show aired to a record 22% audience share to rave reviews. It later was nominated for the 2006 Monte Carlo TV festival.
